Job Description Sales Marketing Manager
DailyCandy, the popular style and trends e-mail newsletter, is seeking a Sales Marketing Manager in New York City. This person must be a creative thinker who can assess advertisers' needs and create custom, relevant programs for clients needs.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
Write presentations and proposals that meet clients' needs and budget requirements.
Brainstorming on relevant program ideas and added-value opportunities.
Execution of merchandising programs and added-value opportunities.
Research advertisers' marketing/brand goals and incorporate them into proposed programs.
Creation of PowerPoint presentations.
Additional sales marketing initiatives.
Attend sales calls or participate in conference calls as needed.
Provide overall support to sales staff including conceptualizing and developing custom programs to meet individual client objectives.
Create and develop advertiser presentations for completed campaigns.
Work with the Sales staff on pitching, presentations, and all other necessary functions with the goal of closing new business.
Manage added-value program execution, including but not limited to: advertorials, sweepstakes, sampling, web-based programs, events, etc.
Contribute ideas in group brainstorming sessions and client meetings.
Requirements and Qualifications:
At least 4 years of experience in writing proposals (internet advertising sales and focusing on women's lifestyle a plus).
Must have a clear understanding of sales marketing and merchandising.
Must have excellent communication and writing skills.
Strong work ethic and ability to take control of projects.
Must be extremely detail oriented.
Must have the ability to work and think independently when necessary.
Strong time management and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in the use of MS Windows, MS Office, Outlook and especially PowerPoint.
BA/BS degree or equivalent.
