Broadcast/Production: Broadcast Production
Sr. Manager, Post Production Engineering - NASCAR Media Group (Charlotte, NC)
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Post Production Engineering to join our team in NASCAR Media Group’s Charlotte office. This position will be responsible for supporting our Post Production Department with video application, engineering and I.T. support.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Supervising Post Editing server infrastructure and administering server updates.
• Assisting video operations with systems integration and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair Post Editing Storage Area Network Systems.
Required skills/experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Film or Computer Sciences strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Broadcast Post Production Engineering.
• Experience with Storage Area Networks and data switching fabrics.
• Requires knowledge of broadcast non-linear editing systems such as Final Cut Studio, Avid and familiarity with Quantel a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of Xsan/Stornext, Directory Services (Active Directory / Open Directory).
• Computer programming skills are a plus.
• Candidate should be knowledgeable and comfortable operating in Terminal.
• Approximately 5 % travel required and shifts may include some nights and weekends.
The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, be a creative problem solver, have the ability to multitask, and demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be well organized with attention to detail and be flexible while managing shifting priorities.
